Patients with neurodegenerative disorders such as Parkinson or Alzheimer need to take up to 16 different medicines daily. To manage this complex combination of medicines they need the support of caregivers (usually family members) a lack of autonomy that affects patients self esteem and contributes to increase what is known as “caregiver burnout”.
Different digital tools have been launched to help manage chronic patients treatment but their lack of accessibility is leaving behind millions of patients with mobility, vision and learning disabilities.
Voice technology can fill this gap. Based on natural conversation, Medical Voice is a project that uses voice technology to provide patients total control over medicine calendar, providing easy access to all the information related to their medicines, offering caregivers the possibility to monitor the adherence to treatment.
